KUCHING: Public Mutual Ecatcity Agency gave donations amounting to RM3,000 to three charitable bodies after a whopping 400 percents sales growth in 2007. The Sarawak Society for Sarawak Cheshire Home and SJK Chung Hua No.5 received a RM1, 000 cheque each at the agency’s annual dinner and awards Nite’08 here on Saturday. Senior branch manager Jones Chen of Public Mutual Kuching Branch lauded the move by Ecatcity Agency to give back to society. “The agency has quadrupled its sales last year and I hope everyone will think big and double the sales,” he said. The agency’s group manager Florence Liew in her speech said it had proven to be one of the best agencies in Kuching. She thank their branch manager, staff of Public Mutual, clients and Public Mutual Berhad for their support. “It is gratifying that we have together as an agency withstood the tough challenges, and grew stronger in the process of financial planning. I believe this is a great testimony to how the Ecatcity Agency family grows together with Public Mutual Berhad―the number one unit trust company in Malaysia.” |
She said according to Bank Negara’s statistics, total individual fixed deposits amounted to RM290 billion. The increasing awareness of unit trust products, the importance of financial planning, and strong Public Mutual brand are three factors that made it easy to promote the unit trust, she commented.
